Young Aussies win World Cup

Josh Hazelwood (4/30) and Luke Doran (3/32) ensured Australia’s 9/207 was enough to win the U-19 WC final against Pakistan.
Pakistan started well, having the Aussies 3/23 in the 5th. over, but Keath, Floros, Armstrong, Triffit and Richardson all chipped in to get the total over 200.

Aussies into U-19 World Cup final

The young Aussies advanced to Saturday’s final with a 2 wicket win against Sri Lanka.
Mitchell Marsh led the way with 97  and Tom Triffit scored 50 as they chased down Sri Lanka’s 205.
Pakistan will meet Australia in the final.



Great chase but Bushies triumph

Generally, 206 will win you a one dayer. Not so, tonight, as Tasmania failed by 20 runs to haul in Victoria’s 7/326.
Brad Hodge starred for the Bushies with 139. He and Dave Hussey (93) added 179 for the third wicket.

Klinger, Christian bat Redbacks home

SA, desperately needing a win, chased down NSW’s 294 to win in the last over. Michael Klinger (124) and Dan Christian (90*) were outstanding.

Harris takes Aussies to series win

Oppositions must shake their heads when, again, a reserve Aussie bowler steps in and waltzes away with the Man of the Match award.
Ryan Harris was the man, tonight. He took 5/43 as Australia defeated Pakistan by 41 runs.

Watson powers Oz to big win.

Shane Watson got off to a flying start in the second ODI against Pakistan. On an SCG wicket which had plenty of bounce, Watson hit 69 from 71 balls as Australia ran up a healthy 6/267.

The Bushrangers won their 4th Big Bash title in Adelaide and against the home team, the Redbacks.
Aiden Blizzard struck 42* from 19 balls to lift an otherwise low Victorian total to a competitive 7/166. Aaron Finch (47) and Andrew McDonald (25)  also contributed.

White century powers Aussie win

Cameron White scored 105 from just 88 balls to propel Australia to a 5 wicket victory in the first of 5  ODIs against Pakistan.
Earlier, Shane Watson returned his best ODI figures with 4/36 and Salman Butt scored 72 in Pakistan’s 274.
White shared a century partnership with Michael Clarke (58) and Mike Hussey was 35*.



Hussey bats Vics into final
