Skipper leads the way with 219

Kumar Sangakkara took his overnight score to 219 before falling to Virender Sehwag, on day 2 of the second Test in Colombo.
He and Mahela Jayawardene  added 194 for the third wicket.
Sri Lanka is in a commanding position, declaring at 4/642. Jayawardene scored 174 - his 28th. Test century. Thilan Samaraweera was 76*.

Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test against India..
Tillakaratne Dilshan and Tharanga Paranavitana put on 99 for the fist wicket in just 18.1 overs. Dilshan scored 54 in 42 balls.

Oz skittled for 88

Mohammad Aamer (3/20), Mohammad Asif (3/30) and Umar Gul (2/16) bundled the Aussies out for just 88 in the second Test, at Leeds.
Only 4 batsmen got in to double figures and none passed 20.
At stumps, Pakistan was well on to at 3/148. Salman Butt scored 45 and Imran Farhat 43.



Aussies spin to victory

Marcus North took 6/55 and Steven Smith, 3/51 as Australia beat Pakistan by 150 runs in the first Test, at Lord’s.
Salman Butt scored 92, Kamran Akmal 46 and Azhar Ali 42.

Mike Hussey remained 56 n.o. as Australia scored 253 in the first Test against Pakistan at Lord’s. Mohammad Aamer took the bowling honours with 4/72.

After the early wickets of Shane Watson (4) and Ricky Ponting (26), Simon Katich and Michael Clarke (47) put on 120 for the third wicket to see Australia to 3/171 at tea on day 1 of the 1st. Test against Pakistan.

They come in for the injured Nathan Hauritz and Brad Haddin. Ben Hilfenhaus returns to the Test XI after injury.
